The king then ordered his two other sons, Fafnir and Regin, to imprison these three gods and demanded an immense amount of gold to compensate him for this loss. Loki is then responsible for recovering this gold which he steals from the dwarf Andvari. However, he curses his treasure so that its owner loses his life.
